Mothers' Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide.
The Pensioners hall has been booked from 10.00am-12.00noon on Saturday 7th May as a Coffee, Cake and Stitch morning to complete the new jubilee kneeler for the Queen's 70th jubilee. We already have kneelers for 25, 50 and 60 in church and I am going up this afternoon to put them on a table to promote the stitch morning.
The sewing table will be manned by someone who does a lot of embroidery and will be able to help anyone who wants to have a go. The kneeler will be out on one of the Friday coffee mornings, probably the Friday 13th for anyone who can't make Saturdays. After that it will be finished off at home ready to hand over to the church on the jubilee service on 4th June.
The St James Mother's Union branch normally meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7.15pm (currently in the Pensioners Hall next to St James church).
St James Mothers Union also runs a coffee morning (currently in the Pensioners Hall next to the church) from 9.45-11.45am every Friday.
Coffee or tea with individually wrapped biscuits for £1 with a free refill on drinks.
Bric-a-brac stall and clothes for sale.
Donations thankfully received, but not books please.
Here is a list of St James Mothers Union events planned for the first half of 2022.

Also, the date of the World Day of Prayer service is provisionally booked for 6th May ay 7.00pm. This is not a Mothers Union event as such Mothers Union but the ladies of Mothers Union organise it and members of Audley Methodist, Halmerend Methodists, St Johns, Alsagers Bank, and St Martins, Talke all join together.
